A former President (CEO) and chief grievance officer of the National Labor Relations Board Professional Association, a public sector labor organization.

Contributing Editor to the ABA's arbitration textbook, How Arbitration Works and has been an editor of the George Meany Center's Construction Organizing, An Organizing and Contract Enforcement Guide.

Currently the general counsel of the Los Angeles County Democratic Party, Mr. Zakson also has developed a special expertise in campaign finance and disclosure laws.
